Are you a highly skilled Special Effects and Make-Up Artist with leadership experience? We are looking for a talented Make-Up and SFX Head of Department to lead and manage our team.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Make-Up and SFX HOD to lead our special effects and make-up team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and applying makeup and special effects for film and television.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a makeup artist with a strong portfolio
  • NQF Level 5, Diploma, Degree in Make-Up & SFX or related qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field
  • Must be 30 years and above
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to applying makeup

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Oversee the makeup department and manage team members
  • Manage schedules and resources for the makeup department
  • Train and mentor junior makeup artists
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
